Many famous performers played at the Circus Maximus showroom at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, including Sammy Davis Jr., Judy Garland, and Woody Allen. The showroom also hosted Broadway productions.  

Performers:

• Andy Williams: Opened the showroom in 1966

• Ann-Margret: Performed with Roger & Roger in 1979–1980

• Ella Fitzgerald: Performed at Circus Maximus

• Jay Leno: Performed with B.B. King in 1992

• Smokey Robinson: Performed on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in 1994–1995

• Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé: Performed in the final show at Circus Maximus in 2000

• Broadway productions Sweet Charity and The Odd Couple.  

Other notable events  

• Evel Knievel crashed while attempting a motorcycle jump at Caesars Palace

• Muhammad Ali was beaten by Larry Holmes in a boxing match at Caesars Palace

• The Circus Maximus showroom was torn down and replaced by The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
